This European Larch Glulam footbridge was commissioned to feature in the re-shaped landscape garden of Ravenswick Hall, Yorkshire. This timber bridge is part of a larger redevelopment of Ravenswick Hall and Gardens which includes a deer park, kitchen garden, ornamental lake, boating lake and boathouse, stables, cottage orné, Palm House, and other ancillary development to complete the estate. The developments centre around a new country house, built in a classical design.
Team Xylotek got involved to design detail, supply and install the unsupported 14 metre glulam bridge in Autumn 2023. The solid Oak posts and railings, Larch glulam arches and Ekki deck boards were fabricated off-site and transported in one piece. It was then lifted as one into place onsite.
